Building Something Quietly

Turning the lessons of caregiving into something that can help others lighten their load.

Over the past months, I’ve been writing about my experiences as a caregiver — and about the state of caregiving in the US.

🙏 Before anything else, I want to thank everyone who’s read, shared, or reached out. Your messages, reflections, and stories of care — often shared with honesty and vulnerability — have meant a great deal. I am glad that my writing has resonated and it reminds me that taking care of aging loved ones is a common, if hidden, experience.

💭 When I left my last job, it was because I had thought for many years about the unaddressed needs of family caregivers — the people quietly holding together households, health, and careers, but with barely time for themselves. Not only did I have my own experiences to draw from, but I saw the evolving concerns of friends and peers, who increasingly took on the responsibilities of caring for aging loved ones. The burden they carry is immense, and I felt pulled to do something that might help lighten it.

What started as spreadsheets and notes, while caring for Mum, slowly became something broader: a vision to bring more calm, structure, and support into caregiving.

🤖 So I’ve been building something quietly — something designed to empower caregivers and make their days a little easier. Its name is Carevation.

It’s still early days, but I’m deeply grateful for those who’ve offered feedback, joined the beta, or simply listened along the way. Your insights have shaped this project more than you know.

➡️ If you’re interested in learning more about the beta, or want to register your interest in participating, please visit the website: Carevation.

🪴 Additionally, while Carevation is still in development, I wanted to create a few free tools that could already deliver value. You can find them here → Carevation Free Resources

They include:

  • ✳️ The Caregiver Starter Workbook
  • 💬 A Weekly Check-in template
  • 🧳 A Hospital Go-Bag List

Each was created to help caregivers bring a bit of order — and maybe a little peace — to the everyday chaos of care.

Thank you again for being part of this journey. I’ll continue sharing updates as Carevation grows, along with reflections from the path that started it all.

🩵 Here’s to lighter loads, steadier days, and the care we give — to others and to ourselves.
